Leighton Holdings subsidiary Visionstream has landed a $62.5 million deal to roll out an electronic freeway management system for the M80 ring road upgrade in Victoria.
The firm said it would be responsible for design, supply, construction, commissioning and maintenance of the system.
The system includes road sensors to monitor traffic flows, automatic control of vehicle entry onto the road, speed limits management and electronic message boards.
The M80 upgrade is a $2.25 billion project and is expected to take over five years to complete.
